Frequently Asked Questions
How is the required final score calculated?
Required = (target − current × (1 − finalWeight/100)) / (finalWeight/100). Example: 82% current, 30% final, 90% target → need 108.7% — impossible.
What if the required score exceeds 100%?
The target is mathematically unreachable with your current grade. Lower your target or check if extra credit is available.
Should I enter letter grades or percentages?
Enter percentages. Convert letter grades with the grade GPA converter if needed.
Does this account for extra credit?
No. It uses the stated weights. Add extra credit points to your current grade before calculating.
Is this final grade calculator free?
